ABOUT US
|
We may be some distance across the Irish Sea but nevertheless we are among the most thriving and pro-active of all the VMCC Sections. Situated on this beautiful Island, the "Road Race Capital of the World", we currently have over 200 active members and each year organise 10 vintage Trials, 10 Road Runs, 7 Club Nights, 1 Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation, the International VMCC TT Rally and the VMCC Manx Grand Prix Rally incorporating the "Festival of Jurby". A really busy programme each year that could not be undertaken without a very active Committee and the willingness of many members to get involved. |

As well as the links to our Events List and Trials List you will find a link to the TT Rally and to the MGP Rally. There you can download entry forms, regulations and a timetable of events. Any Club Secretaries that are looking at this site and thinking of visiting the Isle of Man, please get in touch. We can help with advice on accommodation, discounted fares on the ferry, routes for road runs, tea stops, places not to be missed etc. For both bike and car clubs there is no better place to hold a Rally, with beautiful scenery, traffic free B roads [outside of TT and MGP] and a friendly welcome awaiting you. |

We like to think that we are a very friendly Club and are delighted when visiting members turn up to a Club Night or Road Run. You will see a link to our Fixture List and Trials List and if you are able to come along you will be warmly welcomed. We were the first section to Twin, and the Terrot Club of France are our partners. In 2007 the Terrot Club visited us, and in 2009 our members travelled to France to the Terrot Rally, to be wined and dined in true French Style. |

In 2009 our Section organised the Manx Grand Prix Rally for the first time. The previous organising committee have moved on to the Banbury Run and the Isle of Man Section was asked if it would take on the running of this most prestigious event. Quite a challenge, but one that we could not say no to. We tried to bring new ideas to an already very successful event, not change for change’s sake but a fresh approach. We introduced “The Festival of Jurby”, our answer to the VMCC HQ’s Festival of 1,000 Bikes, and who knows one day we may be able to boast a similar title. The event was a great success with approximately 8,000 visitors and in 2010 this grew to 12,500. |
Thank you for visiting our web site and the VMCC Isle of Man Section looks forward to welcoming you to the “jewel in the Irish Sea”.
