The VMCC IoM Section will promote a Veteran, Vintage and Classic motorcycle Test Day at Jurby Motordrome on 30th August 2022 run in conjunction with the Andreas Racing Association. The aim is to provide a well proven three class structure which will encourage the inclusion of less experienced on-track riders and those on slower machines by providing a non-threatening environment whilst not alienating those who wish to go faster on period racing or later model machines. The following general conditions will apply. All riders must be over the age of 12, be current members of the VMCC and hold either a full, unrestricted, valid driving licence issued by the Manx Government (or the equivalent foreign licensing authority in the rider’s country of residence) with the appropriate category clearly indicated, or an ACU Road Race licenceAll crash helmets worn by riders must comply with current ACU/FIM standards (no off-road style motorcycle helmets). Helmets must be worn and securely fastened at all times. All leathers must be either a one piece or two-piece zip together suit. No skin or undergarments visible when your arms are fully raised. Leather boots and gloves must also be worn. We recommend that all riders also wear additional back protection. Metal knee and/or toe sliders are not allowed. For the avoidance of doubt, textile outer wear is not permitted on test / track events. The vehicle you intend to use must be greater than 25 years old and in good condition both mechanically and bodily and suitable for its intended use on the track. It is your duty to ensure that the vehicle remains in this condition for the duration of the activity, in the interests of your safety and the safety of others at the circuit. Touring bikes must remove all luggage boxes and road registered trikes are not permitted. The Vintage Motorcycle Club Isle of Man Section will welcome entries from VMCC Members from off Island who are visiting for the Manx Grand Prix Races which are scheduled to conclude on the previous day. There will be no entries “on the day”. Full entry forms will be available nearer to the date of the event on the VMCC IoM website.
