Rules

The trials are run under the ACU using the non-stop trial rules.  There are two routes, A (hard) and B (easy).  You enter one of two classes, VMCC Members or as a guest (Invitation) and follow one route.  Points are awarded for putting feet down and for stopping (5) in a section.  Missing a section out counts as a 5.  Each event consists of eight sections with four laps.  The rider with the lowest points wins, if equal the rider with the most cleans wins, then the most 1’s, 2’s, 3’s, 5’s, if still equal the rider who travelled the furthest clean, wins. 

All riders must have ACU memberships, VMCC members need their cards and number.

Championship

Each trial Championship points are awarded: 1st 20, 2nd 17, 3rd 15, then 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then 0.

To count in the Championship, riders must complete at least two events from the same class\route and their scores are totalled up over the season.

All events count towards the Championship (except The Geoff Cannell Memorial and Handicap trials) and riders do not count their worst result.
