It’s that time of year again! The annual VMCC Poker Run supported by Ellan Vannin Fuels.  I can hear you all cheering and I’m assured by Mystic Meg that the weather is going to be GREAT.

The Start, and Signing On, is at the Quarter Bridge Car Park, adjacent to the Fire Station on Peel Road, Douglas (collect your Suggested Route Sheet and Record Sheet)  and the finish will be at a new-to-us venue, the excellent Lodge Cafe at Glen Helen for tea/coffee and superb cake. Please don’t arrive at Glen Helen before 3.00pm to allow Sunday lunchers to leave.

Easy to understand instructions below:

Start at 2.00pm from the Quarter Bridge Car Park adjacent to the Fire Station, Peel Road, Douglas, with signing on from 1.30pm

Sign on and collect a Score Sheet at the start and add your name.  Select a playing card at random and have it recorded on your sheet.  Visit three easy to find Intermediate Controls at well known locations listed on your score sheet and select a card from the VMCC Marshal there and have it recorded on your sheet.  The three Intermediate Controls will be open between 2.10pm and 3.10pm. There is no set route, but there is an obvious order in which to visit them and then on to the finish.

Finish is at The Lodge Cafe, Glen Helen. Select your final card, have it recorded and hand in your sheet by 3.30pm. Plenty of bike parking in front of the Cafe.

The best 5 card Poker Hand recorded on the sheet wins a fantastic prize! SIMPLES!

Tea/coffee and cake will be provided in the cafe.
